30 January – 9 February 2020
This is the land that saw the birth of yoga and is a abundant place for you to escape the frost and warm your winter bones while the sun rises gently and prayer and music carry through the air!
Location: We will be staying at Samata – a holistic retreat centre, located in a peaceful village setting behind Arambol Beach, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of city and surrounded by organic gardens and lush vegetation.
Accommodation: All rooms are spacious and comfortable, built in traditional Indonesian style, all from recycled teak wood. The rustic yet elegant architecture has a temple feeling. All rooms have AC, en suite bathroom, hot water, wifi, and a safe for your valuables.
Cuisine: Meals are prepared using quality organic ingredients, fresh picked herbs, vegetables and fruits from the vast garden space along with locally sourced foods. Ayurvedic guidelines and principles are followed for food-combining and optimal health and digestion. This will ensure vitality and rejuvenation during your retreat stay.
Yoga is twice daily: Each day will open with a two hour morning yoga class that will begin somatically and gently, progressing into a more dynamic flow, invigorating and cleansing the body, focusing and calming the mind.
Gentler evening Yoga will explore asanas and pranayama, refining awareness and clarifying attention. There also be the opportunity to practice Yoga Nidra, intuitive dance and healing sound meditation, cultivating creative expression and inner balance.
